Company History

In 1968, Richard E. Glover purchased what was then Empire Mortgage Corporation and renamed it Citizens National Mortgage (CNMC). The company, which remains family-owned and operated, is based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Citizens National Mortgage Corporation obtained its State of Texas approval on November 15, 1968, also receiving FHA-HUD and VA approval in November of 1968. The following month, December 1968, CNMC received approval from the Federal National Mortgage Association as a loan seller and servicer for FHA & VA loans.

Under Glover's leadership, Citizens National Mortgage Corporation has grown to become one of the most respected names in mortgage banking in the Dallas-Fort Worth area over the last four decades.

Glover, a past president of the Fort Worth Mortgage Brokers, has been recognized as a leader in his field by "Who's Who in the South and Southwest", "Who's Who in Finance and Industry", the seventh edition of "International Who's Who of Intellectuals", the 11th volume of "Men of Achievement", and the fourth edition of "Personalities of America." Additionally, he is a past or present member of the Mortgage Bankers of America, Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, Fort Worth Mortgage Bankers Association, Fort Worth Board of Realtors, Fort Worth Home Builders Association, International Organization of Real Estate Appraisers, and National Association of Certified Real Property Appraisers.

Meanwhile, Citizens National Mortgage Corporation has expanded its activities well beyond FHA and VA loans.

CNMC was approved in March of 1978 by the Federal National Mortgage Association as a seller and servicer for conventional loans.

CNMC has serviced loans for over 50 investors, financial lending institutions and stock brokerage firms. In addition, CNMC acted as agent for Solomon Brothers, Inc. of New York for relocation companies to which they were making loans across the entire states of Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Those companies included AT&T and Southwestern Bell Telephone.

CNMC received its HUD Direct Endorsement approval on September 20, 1984. CNMC has also been approved to and processed HUD Apartment Loans of all types, as well as being approved for and processing HUD Title X Land Development Loans. CNMC is also licensed under the Texas Consumer Credit Commission for regulated loans (second liens and finance company loans).

In short, CNMC has grown over its 34 years to become a one-stop solution for people seeking real estate loans.
